Ariana Grande Reveals “Thank U, Next” Album Tracklist & Release Date
Ariana Grande took some time off after the Manchester Bombing in 2017, but she came back with a vengeance in 2018. In August, Grande dropped off her fourth studio album Sweetener. The project debuted at number one on Billboard 200, and spawned a handful of charting singles such as “God Is A Woman,” “No Tears Left To Cry,” and “The Light Is Coming.” Just about six months later, Grande is gearing up to drop another album. Entitled Thank U, Next after her sensational single, Grande’s fifth studio album will touch down on February 8.
“Thank U, Next,” “Imagine,” and “7 Rings” are the leading singles for the project, to which Grande shared the tracklist for on Tuesday (January 22). The tracklist features some interesting titles, but the one that grabbed my attention and kept it was “Break Up With Your Girlfriends, I’m Bored.” If Grande’s DMs weren’t overflowing before such a suggestive title, they will be now. “Bad Idea,” “Fake Smile,” and “Ghostin” are also intriguing titles that hint at some kind of storytelling element. Grande’s relationships with Mac Miller and Pete Davidson are addressed on the title track of the album, but we’re sure that she will dive deeper into her emotions throughout the project.
